It has been suggested that the advent of information and communication technology will have an impact upon society as great as the agricultural and industrial revolutions of earlier centuries. The little guy can not only access billions of pages of information, entertainment, opinion, gossip etc etc etc - but he can also get involved and add his own contribution.

And what's more, the little guys ARE getting involved, hence the fact Google now indexes more pages than there are people in the world.

And what's more the little guy's Web page takes up just as much screen space as does the offerings of governments and multinationals.
